[Bible Study] The Parables of the Secrets of Heaven

The Word of Revelation from Heaven

Introductory Lesson 1

The Parables of the Secrets of Heaven

Main References: Mt 13:34-35 (Ps 78:1-4, Jn 16:25)

 Mt 13:34-35
34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable
35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world."

What and why Jesus spoke in parables?

Psalm 78:1-4
1 My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things,
3 things from of old things we have heard and know, things our ancestors have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.

1. Jesus' testimony of (the secrets of) heaven: "Parables"

prophet's prophecy ➨ Jesus' fulfillment

In Mt 13:10-11, the disciples asked Jesus "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" And Jesus replied "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but no to them."

The secrets that Jesus spoke in Parables = Secrets of the kingdom of heaven

2. The difference and outcome of those who know and do not know the parables

Mark 4:10-12
10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables
11 He told them, "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables
12 so that, "they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and every hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!"

Those who understand parables : you
➨Sin can be forgiven, Belong to God (heaven)

Those who do not understand parables : outside
➨Sin cannot be forgiven, Belong to the devil (hell)

Understanding the Parables is very important for us

3. Parable and physical fulfillment (Jn 14, 15, 16)

John 16:25
Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

Jesus said he will sent us the Counselor in John 14-16

Secrets of heaven
1) Psalms: prophesied to speak in parables
2) Jesus: spoke in parables
3) Counselor: spoke plainly about the physical fulfillment

The most important testimony is to see the physical fulfillment by opening the parables.

4. Three mysteries in Revelation (secrets of heaven in the New Testament)

 1) Mystery of the seven stars and the seven golden lampstands
(Rv 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.)

 2) Mystery of the beast with seven heads and ten horns
(Rv 17:7 Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

 3) Mystery of the seventh trumpet
(Rv 10:7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will accomplished, just as he announced to this servants the prophets." )

Christianity is Changing: Insights from the Shincheonji Bible Seminar

Christianity is Changing: Insights from the Shincheonji Bible Seminar      On October 5, the "Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation" seminar held by Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, marked a significant turning point in the relationship between traditional Christian leaders and the church. Attracting over 400 pastors and seminary students, the event showcased an intriguing phenomenon: many who had previously opposed Shincheonji were now eager to hear Chairman Lee Man-hee's teachings firsthand.  Chairman Lee’s address emphasized the "truth" found within Shincheonji’s doctrine, challenging the misconceptions often associated with the church. His passionate call for attendees to critically examine their beliefs and the teachings of Shincheonji resonated deeply. Many pastors, who once viewed the church as a cult, found themselves reflecting on their own practices and acknowledging the gaps in their understanding of biblical teachings...
