Lesson 1: God's covenant, Abraham, and Revelation

1. God's covenant

1) Background explanation of the covenant made in each era

Gen 2~3) God made a covenant with Adam whom he created
Gen 2:17) but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.

But Adam and eve were deceived by the serpent they broke their covenant

Gen 6:3) Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."

2) The content of the covenant made with Abraham

Gn 15:3~21)
☑ Abraham's descendants will go to Egypt and be enslaved
☑ After four generations, they will come out of Egypt and conquer the land of Canaan

After making a covenant, God orchestrated the events to ensure that His promises are fulfilled.
Prophecy and fulfillment is a believable proof that God is alive.

3) Fulfillment through Moses

Exodus 12:12-14)
12 "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn--both men and animals--and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
14 "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD a lasting ordinance.
→ The Israelites were saved through "pass-over"

4) The covenant with physical Israel and the ten commandments

Exodus 19:5-6)
5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine.
6 you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. 'These are the words you are to speak to the Israelities."

Exodus 20:3) commandments : you shall have no other gods before me.

The worship of foreign gods by Israel's king Solomon marked their betrayal

Hosea 6:7) Like Adam. they have broken the covenant...

2. The work of creation of a new thing

 1) Old Testament Prophecy

Jeremiah 31:22) How long will you wander, O unfaithful daughter? The LORD will create a new thing on earth-- a woman will surround a man."
Jeremiah 31:27) "The days are coming," declared the LORD, "when I will plant the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the offspring of men and of animals.

Jn 19:30) Jesus fulfilled all the promises of the old testament
Mt  13:24~30, 36~43) sowed the promised seed and prophesied to harvest

3) Abraham and Revelation
- coming out of Egypt and conquering Canaan at the time of Moses was an example of the journey to heaven
- our destination today is the Holy City New Jerusalem
- it is heaven that appears according to Revelation
- only God's children born of God's seed inherit heaven and eternal life

Rv 6:12~14)
12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,
13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
14 The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

Rv 1~3) the promised pastor is chosen
Rev 6, Mt 8:12) After the judgment of the first heaven and the first earth, the traditional churches.
Rv 7, Mt 8:11) God's kingdom is recreated through the work of harvest and sealing.
Rv 14:4) They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.

4) The new covenant and the sealed 12 tribes

Heb 8:7~8) the first covenant was broken
Lk 22:14~20) the new covenant was made in the blood of Jesus

The Second Coming Passover meal is the revealed word of the fulfillment of the New Testament Revelation.

Rv 7, 14) God's new kingdom and new people, the 12 tribes
Rv 21:1~6) Completion of the creation of a new thing, God's new kingdom and new people of the 12 tribes

Shincheonji is asking us, "What era is it now?" and "Who am I according to the Bible?"   Shincheonji Church of Jesus is hosting a Bible seminar with a focus on the "fulfilled realities of the entire book of Revelation. " The seminar commenced in Seoul on October 7th and will continue to other cities in South Korea until October 21st. Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church is testifying to all the realities within the book of Revelation. During the seminar, many pastors and members of the media attended, and Chairman Lee Man-hee posed the questions, "What era is it now?" and "Who am I according to the Bible?" When I heard these questions, my curiosity was piqued, and I wondered, "What's the significance of these questions?" I've learned that those who believe in Jesus are eagerly awaiting His second coming, and Jesus has promised us that He will return to us soon.  However, no one has been able to tell us when and w

The Word Chosen by 100,000 People: Why Are Believers Flocking to Shincheonji Church of Jesus?

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus, having successfully completed two 100,000-member graduation ceremonies, held its third.  Notably, this ceremony has garnered attention due to the graduation of a significant number of pastors. One might wonder why so many people have chosen the teachings of Shincheonji. It's intriguing, especially considering Shincheonji has faced considerable opposition from established church denominations. The fact that so many believers flock to hear its teachings is certainly surprising. Shincheonji has been actively holding online seminars via YouTube and has formally signed MOUs with 9,593 churches across 80 countries. Shincheonji promises to collaborate with these churches, teaching not only the words of Revelation but also systematically teaching the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Furthermore, 1,365 churches in 30 countries have changed their signs to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, showing unity through the word. Why are believers flocking to Shincheonj

The Shicheonji Church of Jesus recently held a Bible exchange program, which was attended by 80 religious leaders. We live in a world with a diverse array of religions.   The word "religion" means "re-connect," as it allows humans to connect with God.  But why do people believe in religion? What is religion, and which scriptures hold the most truth?  Unfortunately, religion can also lead to conflicts and even wars in our global society. In light of this, one pastor is calling for unity among religions.  The Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony recently held a bible interchanging program, called the "1st Revelation Special Lecture," from February 20th to 23rd in Seoul and Gyeonjji, Korea. This program brought together 80 religious leaders from 10 different religions and 27 countries, including Korea.  A Hindu religious leader stated, "Let's gather with open hearts and break down barriers to become one
