The word "religion" means "re-connect," as it allows humans to connect with God.
But why do people believe in religion? What is religion, and which scriptures hold the most truth?
Unfortunately, religion can also lead to conflicts and even wars in our global society. In light of this, one pastor is calling for unity among religions.
The Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony recently held a bible interchanging program, called the "1st Revelation Special Lecture," from February 20th to 23rd in Seoul and Gyeonjji, Korea. This program brought together 80 religious leaders from 10 different religions and 27 countries, including Korea.
A Hindu religious leader stated, "Let's gather with open hearts and break down barriers to become one."
On the first day of the program, Chairman Man-hee Lee emphasized that there is no hierarchy or ownership in the Bible, and urged everyone to become one.
The program included studying the book of Revelation and debating its contents using the Bible as a reference.
It may seem impossible for different religions to become one, but this program at the Shincheonji Church offers a valuable opportunity to find common ground and work towards unity.
